“It will not be wel with any fans that said I should go and protest, I am rich so I can’t” – Singer Portable shade his fans

Reactions on social media as a meticulous Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, expressed his opinions about the August 1st nationwide protest. He announced recently that he would not be taking part in the demonstration, saying that he will still hustle because he needs money.

According to the “Zazuu crooner,” Nigerians planning to take part in the protest don’t take their jobs seriously. Then he went on to say that since Nigeria was already doing well, people should fight for themselves rather than for Nigeria.

In the video, Portable swore at the folks who had asked him to perform a song at the event. He pointed out that although there was wealth and employment in Nigeria, many people did not value those who could assist them. The head of Zeh Nation issued a warning, saying that individuals shouldn’t let their careers or occupations become obstacles in their lives. Social media users chastised Portable over his statement after seeing the footage, which caused huge emotions.

In his words, “Please, I still need money, I still dey hustle. If you are not serious with your work, that is when you will go and protest. Fight for yourself, don’t fight for Nigeria. Nigeria is okay. Money dey where money dey. Don’t let your career turn to your barrier.”
