The ever-popular Yoruba actress and comedian Kudirat Abeniade, affectionately known as Mama No Network, peeled back the layers of her heart during an interview on Talk-to-B, hosted by her junior colleague Biola Adebayo.
Mama No Network revealed the turbulent history she shared with fellow actor Lanko Omooba Dubai describing the intense anguish of their split, which rocked her world and left her reeling in emotional disorder, with tears streaming down her cheeks.
She revealed the anguish of feeling abandoned, particularly with their child caught in the midst, which left her struggling with feelings of confusion and grief. In a rare moment of vulnerability, she opened up about the emotional rollercoaster of her marriage to colleague Chief Adeola Shoremi, better known as Princess Lanko Omooba Dubai.
When Mama No Network looked back on their journey together, which started more than 20 years ago, she talked about the significant sacrifices she made for love.
She recalled how, early in their relationship, she had willingly put her budding acting career on wait to support Lanko, dedicating herself to raising their child and providing a nurturing environment. Their child is currently in his mid-20s.
But as time went on, the hopes that had brought them together started to break apart. Encircled in mystery, Lanko began arriving home late. According to Mama No Network, Lanko had previously been her partner in both the acting and love worlds.
With tears in her eyes and a sad heart, Mama No Network remembered the day Lanko told her he was moving on with another woman. She claimed that this realisation was a turning point in her life, as she had to deal with the difficulties of starting a new chapter.
Mama No Network stressed that she mustered the fortitude to overcome the circumstance despite the pain. She embraced her job with newfound vigour, found power in her skills, and poured her experiences into her performances.
