Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has shared in his words that he didn’t know who Lisabi was and didn’t even realize he was a man like him until he did some research.
He revealed that Lisabi is quite big, and the fact that part one is not something to compare with the next coming part.
The host asked Mobimpe why should anybody that has not yet watched the movie Lisabi watch it?
She responded: Watch Lisabi because it is the best movie right now in Nollywood, Yeah! I can say that.
Lateef Adedimeji further disclosed that a project like Lisabi deserves a lot of applications because it is a very interesting movie and that’s why it’s been back to back on media movements as they continue to share the insights into the entire production process.
He went on saying his wife Mobimpe gave him full support even when he doubted himself on the project, and the wife still stands still and buys into the idea of doing research about the movie.
He also said he didn’t know who Lisabi was talkless to realize that Lisabi was a man like him who liberated the entire Egba people from local and foreign oppressors.
He wrote: A project like Lisabi deserves a lot of amplification, that is why it’s been back to back media movements as we continue to share insights into the entire production process of the movie.
It gives goosebumps for me to recount the story of how we started, when I conceived the Idea and how it didn’t take much convincing for my co-pilot (@Mo_Bimpe) to buy into the idea, how we dug deep with research, learned facts and key information about the legend and also, gave what belongs to Caesar to Caesar across the entire journey.
In this particular one, I shared how I didn’t even know who Lisabi was, I didn’t realize he was a man like me who liberated the entire Egba people from local and foreign oppressors. National independence was credited to 1960 but, the Egban knew liberation from the days of Lisabi, you need to see the movie to understand.
