Nollywood actor Jide Awobona took to his Instagram page to celebrate his father’s 70th birthday with stunning photos and said he celebrated Mr. Afolabi as he clocks 70 years on earth, telling him that he has waited for such a day ever since he celebrated his 66th birthday then.
He continued to shower him with compliments and prayers that he live more than 100 years in good health and prosperity, adding that aside from the fact that they look alike, he has been close to him “but they no gree for each other.”

I had waited for this day since your 66th birthday ,finally today, I am so excited to be celebrating him as he clocks 70 , what a milestone .
Aside the fact that we have a striking resemblance, we share so much in common, little wonder we are close and also one of the reasons we clash, we no dey gree for each other , but he can tell I love him so much, and I know he loves us all, he shows it how best he can .
I admire his discipline, his confidence, his energy, his steadfastness and zeal. Despite his challenges, he stands tall, very strong and resilient .
A great dad and a good trainer , his trainings are part of what shaped me into who I am and still becoming , most of his words and life lessons echo in my brain , sometimes when I’m about to make some decisions , part of his lessons play back in my head and it helps in making some tough but right decisions .
My Dad is far too kind , when he had excess , family and friends benefited immensely from his grace and affluence , when challenges of life came , he still remained that with his little , his benevolence didn’t stop .
Daddy, the policy man, our own soldier , we love him like that, or better still “ I LOVE HIM LIKE THAT “ , no one is perfect , we all have flaws , only a negative soul will focus solely on “flaws” and refuse to give credit for your good deeds .
Baami, you’ve only spent 7 decades , you still have 3 more to go, the latter part of your life shall be better than the former, You will live long in good health and wealth , e ma jeun omo pe pe pe pe .
