Popularly known as actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele appreciates the team as she empowers 175 crew members for her new movie “Everybody Loves Jennifer.”
She announced on her Instagram page that the film is a self-funded project and expressed gratitude to every individual for providing a group of competent people—of whom 95 percent are young people—the chance to show off their skills. She additionally celebrated the crew members’ nine weeks of continuous work in bringing her new film to life.
She specifically thanked her Ghanaian and Nigerian crew colleagues for their flawless cooperation in making it possible. Funke stated that she thinks it’s important to empower and provide possibilities for the next generation.
She wrote: “Proud moment! I want to celebrate the incredible 175 crew members who worked tirelessly for nine weeks to bring ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ to life! As a self-funded project, I’m honoured to have empowered a team of talented individuals, with 95% of them being young people, to showcase their skills.
Special shoutout to our Nigerian and Ghanaian crew members who collaborated seamlessly to make this happen. I believe in empowering the next generation and giving them opportunities to shine. And shine they did! Get ready for the movie’s release in December!”.
