“I’m grateful for the strong woman you raised me to be”- Actress Funke Akindele Pays Tribute In The Remembrance Of Her Late Mom

Multi-award-winning Nigerian actress and box office queen Funke Akindele has taken to her Instagram page to share her mother’s picture in remembrance of her after many years of her passing.

She made a post about her late mother and also shared a picture that was accompanied by an appreciation note. The message sparked reactions among her fans, who also joined in appreciating Funke’s late mother.

She expressed her sincere appreciation to her mother, who raised her to be a strong woman, praying that she would continue to rest in the bosom of her lord.

Insidenaija had reported that the movie star lost her dear mother, Dr. RB Adebanjo-Akindele, who died in February 2023, and recalled that she paid tribute to her late mother on her 70th posthumous birthday.

Funke honoured her mother’s existence and legacy alongside her siblings, citing her steadfast support and altruism as the main reasons for her prosperous acting career. She recalled how her mother’s support and faith in her skills enabled her to realise her full potential.

She expressed gratitude for her mother’s sacrifices and vowed to continue upholding her values and making her proud.

Remember that at the movie premiere on December 10, 2023 which was held at the Filmhouse Cinema IMAX, Lekki, Lagos, Akindele noted that the movie was so dear to her heart because it has a part of her late mum in it.
