Reactions as a video of popular gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has gone viral for incorporating the popular song “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” into her worship session at a Lagos church, while the singer has come under fire for this. Her performance during a service last Friday was captured on camera, and it seems to have generated a lot of controversy and criticism online.
On social media, Yinka Alaseyori’s usage of the song “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” during her church performance drew criticism from a number of users. Popular author Solomon Buchi was among many who condemned the performance, calling out the behaviour as a major departure from conventional gospel service.
