Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, who is facing backlash on social media, has been supported by her colleagues in the Yoruba film industry after apprehending an individual who is harassing her.
She has been under heat for arresting one of her trolls and leaving him in police custody for some time. One of the trolls had accused the actress of detaining his mother, which she denied by stating that his mother refused to leave the police station due to her son’s arrest.
Following this, a large number of Nigerians filed complaints about her films on Netflix, demanding that the streaming service remove them. The streaming service was pushed by online users to condemn her actions and to boycott her films.
Many of her colleagues have been showing support for her and took to their Instagram pages to defend the movie star.
Ibrahim Chatta penned a note to Toyin, appreciating her for speaking against bullying in all its forms.

Even Afeez Owo had also reshared a post from Yinka Quadri where he urged all actors to unite and take a stance against bullying, noting how emotional blackmail is no joke.
On her part, Allwell Ademola had also seen the disparities in treatment on social media. She said that occasionally she questions why it is acceptable to harass famous people, but when they respond, those who are offended are labelled as small-minded and bullies.
