Thomas Tuchel is considered a better tactician than his predecessor because he has managed to instill competition in the squad. Frank Lampard was sacked few weeks ago after he couldn’t match up with other top sides in the division.
Since the arrival of Tuchel, he has decided to use three defenders and provided rooms for two wingbacks. This switch in formation has affected certain attackers in the team. The likes of Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic have all found it difficult to break into the team.
Considering the tactics of Tuchel, he loves to play with six midfielders as that would help him dominate possession. The German Manager has ripped apart Frank Lampard’s formation. Some fringe players under Frank Lampard are considered an integral part of the team right now. I guess this is one huge disadvantage of changing managers.
At the moment, Ben Chilwell wouldn’t be happy with his new role at the club. Marcus Alonso is considered a better option when the team wants to play with three central defenders. Christian Pulisic is another player that would seem unhappy. The American attacker was known to be a crucial player during the reign of Lampard. However, Hudson Odoi is preferred in that position under Thomas Tuchel.
Another player who wouldn’t be happy with Thomas Tuchel is Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan International is one of the most creative engine in the team and you just continue to wonder why he’s not an integral part of Thomas Tuchel’s starting eleven.
