Manchester United defender Teden Mengi has joined Derby County on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
The 18-year-old, who made his senior United debut in the Europa League against LASK in the 2-1 win at Old Trafford, embarks on his first temporary move away from the club.
The Manchester-born prospect has regularly trained with the first-team squad this season whilst featuring ten times for Neil Wood’s Under-23s side.
Mengi’s move will see him work under United’s all-time leading goalscorer, Wayne Rooney.
The Rams have won their last three games as the side begin to climb the Championship table.
Teden is an England Under-19 international who has captained United throughout the age groups and travelled with the first team to Germany for the Europa League when the competition resumed in June.
We wish Teden all the best for his spell at Pride Park Stadium and look forward to following his progress.
