The governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate dissolution of his cabinet, insidenaija reports.
A spokesperson for the governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka, announced the dissolution of the state executive council in a statement, The Sun reported.
Ememanka said the affected members of the council were asked to hand over all government properties in their possession to their respective permanent secretaries.
The governor’s aide said Ikpeazu thanked the officials for their service to the state.
According to The Nation, Ememanka further stated that Ikpeazu also approved the recall from suspension, his suspended Chief of Staff, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere.
Agbazuere was suspended from office by Gov. Ikpeazu after a video showing him (Agbazuere) spraying money on self-styled Onitsha based prophet, Chukwuemeka Ohanemere, AKA Odumeje in his (Agbazuere’s) office.
Unconfirmed reports have it that few commissioners were not affected by the cabinet dissolution.
