Lagosians the early hours of Wednesdays, September 16, took to the street in Ojuelegba part of the state to protest over anti-people policy, hike in electricity tariff and petrol price in the country.

Many of the protesters held in their hand playcards and posters with inscriptions like; Reject hike in electricity tariffs, for a socialist Nigeria, hike in a petrol and electricity tariffs is anti-people policy, capitalism needs poverty, just to mention a few.

Recall that, earlier this month, Electricity distribution companies (DisCos), across the country implemented a new electricity tariff regime.

This the protesters have kicked against saying that it is an anti-people policy.
