Manchester United has missed the chance to go top after losing 1-2, at home to bottom club Sheffield United.

Although the Club have won the English Premier League title 13 times in total, they have failed to lift the league’s title since the 2012/13 season with Manchester City finishing second.

This season seems like a season Manchester United will lift the EPL title again after 8 years, but right now this dream may have been ruined for the red devils as they are currently losing at home to Sheffield United.

Today’s match seemed like an easy match for Manchester United, owing to the fact that Sheffield united are at the bottom of the table, and Manchester United were aiming to top the table. This is how the English premier league table currently looks:

Manchester City still has a game to play, and if they end up winning that game they’ll further increase the gap between them and Manchester United. Manchester United may still win the English premier league title if they get themselves together and win games continuously.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United have Today, registered their first away win against Manchester United since December 1973, ending an eight-game losing run in all competitions at Old Trafford.

Sheffield United are the first Yorkshire side to ever win at Old Trafford in the Premier League and only the third to do so in all competitions in the Premier League era, after York City (League Cup, 1995) and Leeds United (FA Cup, 2010).
