Ronaldo Suffer Ankle InJury, Juventus Ready To Put Him Up For Sale Next Summer

Former Manchester United star and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered a sprained ankle towards the end of the match against Lazio but is expected to be available for Portugal, football Italian reports.

Ronaldo scored the first goal in the game, suffered the ankle injury 15 minutes to go of the 1-1 draw against the Aquile, as Felipe Caicedo equalized four minutes into stoppages on Sunday.

The Portuguese player who has scored 6 goals in four league games this season, three of them coming after his return from coronavirus in November.

Il Corriere Dello Sport reports the forward will join the Portugal squad ahead of the UEFA Nations League matches this month and will undergo the necessary checks.

The 35-year-old is expected to be available for the three national matches this month, the friendly against Andorra and the two Nations League games against France and Croatia.

Also, Juventus are preparing to sell Cristiano Ronaldo next summer instead of offering him a new deal.

The 5-times ballon d’or winner joined Juventus from the Spanish side, Real Madrid in 2018 in a transfer worth an initial €100 million (£88 million), the highest ever paid by an Italian club and the highest ever paid for a player over 30 years old.
