Arsenal fans have recently felt very unlucky with referee decisions and today’s match against Aston Villa was no different.
The gunners came into this game needing a result following the midweek defeat to Wolves in which goalkeeper Leno and David Luiz got sent off.
Arteta’s men travelled to Villa Park to face a Aston Villa who already beat them 3-0 in the reverse leg at the Emirates.
The game would quickly kick off in remarkable fashion as the hosts immediately took the lead through Olly Watkins who met Traore’s pass to make it 1-0 in just two minutes of play.
Arsenal would later play catch up as Villa looked to hit on the break but a big decision would arrive in the 35th minute after a challenge on Bukayo Saka.
The youngster appeared to be through on goal before Ezri Konsa’s tackle from behind brought him down causing uproar from fans who demanded he be sent off for a last man failed tackle.
From the replays, it shows that Saka was brought down but he may have also fouled the defender thus the referee decided to just give a yellow card.
